Theodore Roosevelt National Park
In May 2019 we visited this scenic park in western North Dakota, part of the area known as the Badlands. Over millions of years the Little Missouri River and the weather have done some amazing things with the sandstone/mudstone formation.
Bison, feral horses, prairie dogs and turkeys are some of the residents that endure the -40 degree cold of winter.
A little bit of rain during our stay provided some nice subdued colors.
