Making photos has been an interest of mine for many years. Most of the moments and places that we experience are pretty mundane so the challenge is to capture ones that and cause the viewer to stop and take a second look. This can be the result of unusual subject matter or viewpoint, or just the natural beauty of a scene.

At one time I planned to become a professional photographer, and completed a correspondence course with the New York Institute of Photography, but an engineering career called even stronger, so photography became an ever-present hobby instead. My early photography required flash bulbs, black and white film an exposure meter and lots of darkroom gear.

Now, with digital cameras, zoom lenses and computers, my photographic enthusiasm has been re-energized.

As for subject matter, anything is fair game, but as you will see, natural subjects are my favorite.
